The Droll Yankee Flipper was the first feeder to truly live up to its claims. The idea is simple – birds can perch and feed in peace, but anything as heavy as a squirrel will instantly activate the small electric motor in the feeder, which will fling the interloper from the perch. It's both amusing and effective. Additionally, the tube of the feeder is too long for a squirrel to reach down to the seed from the top. Consider your squirrels successfully defeated.
